We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Specialist to join our team at INTEGRIS Health. As a Patient Access Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective provision of patient access services.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the appropriateness of complex patient access transactions, including coverage eligibility, insurance verification, and patient portion calculation.
- Perform financial counseling activities, including screening for government programs and financial assistance, payment options, and arrangements.
- Utilize analytical thinking and independent judgment to adjust service area schedules and accommodate special requests from internal and external customers.
- Collect patient payments and follow levels of authority to ensure financial clearance.
- Document all patient account activities concisely, including authorization and patient liability requirements.
- 1 year of Patient Access operations activities or related experience.
- Previous experience in scheduling, registration, insurance, billing, collections, and customer service in a hospital or physician's office setting.
- College coursework in a related field or Healthcare Certification preferred.
