Lead Veterinary Technician - Surgery Department

VCA Bay Area Veterinary Specialists is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to lead our Surgery Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating a positive and low-stress environment for our clients and patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Surgery Department team and ensure seamless day-to-day operations
  • Develop and implement anesthesia and surgery protocols to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Collaborate with veterinarians and other department members to achieve departmental goals
  • Provide exceptional client service and communication
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest anesthesia and surgery techniques and technologies
Requirements:
  • Registered Veterinary Technician in California or eligible within 3 months of start
  • Previous experience with companion animal anesthesia, diagnostic imaging, operating room procedures, and post-operative care
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
