About GenScript ProBio

GenScript ProBio, a subsidiary of GenScript Biotech Corporation, offers comprehensive CDMO services from drug discovery to commercialization. The company employs proactive strategies, expert solutions, and efficient processes in cell and gene therapy (CGT), vaccine development, biologics discovery, and antibody protein drug production to expedite drug development for its clients. GenScript ProBio provides an all-encompassing cell and gene therapy solution, including CMC of plasmids and viruses for IND filing, alongside clinical and commercial manufacturing. Notably, GenScript ProBio supports the highest number of clinical approvals for CGT drugs, including mRNA vaccines and CAR-T therapies in China. Additionally, it is the first GMP manufacturing platform to deliver in vitro transcription (IVT) template linearized plasmids for mRNA vaccines, assisting several global enterprises in obtaining clinical approvals. In terms of viral vector services, GenScript ProBio boasts a robust and high-yield viral vector platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee capital expenditure procurement.
  • Drive purchasing and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Focus on internal and external customer needs to resolve issues.
  • Conduct negotiations and manage contracts, collaborating with relevant partners to optimize terms, costs, and deliverables while ensuring quality and mitigating risks.
  • Maintain relationships with key functional managers and their teams to understand their requirements and facilitate appropriate challenges.
  • Manage Master Service Agreements (MSA), annual contracts, and bid processes.
  • Adhere to global procurement standard operating procedures, policies, and filing systems.
  • Evaluate supplier performance against contractual obligations, service levels, and business needs.
  • Maintain material codes and other configurations in ERP/SAP and S2P programs.
Required Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is essential for this role.
  • At least 3 years of experience in sourcing or purchasing.
  • Familiarity with bidding procedures and criteria.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and collaboration skills.
  • Strong contract management and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficient in project and change management.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information effectively.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement in work efficiency.
  • Proficient in computer applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and knowledgeable in ERP/SAP systems.
  • Experience working with multicultural teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in GMP biopharma manufacturing procurement is advantageous.
  • Background in contract development and execution.
  • Data-driven decision-making skills.
