About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Corporate Counsel to join our team at Liberty Mutual. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in providing legal support to our US Retail Markets omni-channel Distribution & Marketing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to our business leaders and teams, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with our Legal Practice Groups to deliver seamless legal services to our USRM Distribution and Marketing partners.
  • Escalate risks and issues appropriately, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Create and foster an inclusive, equitable, and high-performing culture within our team and with partners in BU Legal and other Legal Practice Groups.
  • Act as a strategic, proactive partner and member of our leadership team within USRM Legal and for aligned USRM Distribution leaders.
Requirements
  • Excellent analytic, legal writing, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with corporate operations and SBU objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with Company personnel, outside counsel, and representatives of other companies and adversaries.
  • Expert knowledge of a specialized area of law.
  • Completion of law school with a J.D. or L.L.B. degree and admission to the bar of at least one jurisdiction in the United States.
  • Management and leadership experience strongly preferred.
