Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified faculty member to join our team in the Department of Oral Biology and Diagnostic Sciences at Augusta University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching pre-doctoral and graduate courses in physiology, pharmacology, and microbiology, as well as mentoring graduate and postdoctoral trainees.

Responsibilities
  • Teach pre-doctoral and graduate courses in physiology, pharmacology, and microbiology
  • Mentor graduate and postdoctoral trainees
  • Conduct independent research and collaborate with other faculty members
  • Develop an extramurally-funded research program
  • Engage in service activities as needed
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in physiology, pharmacology, microbiology, or a related field
  • Record of didactic instruction and research experience
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in oral biology, physiology, pharmacology, microbiology, or a related field
  • Dental or medical qualification
  • Experience in grantsmanship and securing extramural research funding
