Job Title: Radiology Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using various modalities, including X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound.
  • Position patients, adjust equipment, and secure immobilization devices as needed to ensure accurate and safe imaging.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases, including exam charges and patient information.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to minimize radiation exposure and ensure patient safety.
Requirements:
  • Active IEMA license
  • Minimum experience as a Radiologic Technologist (new grad accepted)
  • Knowledge of all areas of general diagnostic radiology
  • Understanding of positioning and technique factors as in Merrill's Directory
  • Ability to perform all common radiologic procedures
  • ARRT Registry within one year of employment
Working Conditions:
  • Able to respond to requests to work on short notice
  • Flexible in starting times to meet demand
  • May require rotating shifts and alternate days
  • Willing to work overtime when requested
  • Able to periodically take call
  • As required, must be able to transport, move, and lift patients
