Commercial Painting Project Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Painting Estimator/Project Manager to join our team at Western Partitions, Inc. This role is responsible for overseeing project operations from start to finish, ensuring timely completion within budget.
About the Role
- The successful candidate will have a strong background in commercial painting estimation and project management, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- The individual will be responsible for managing project activities throughout each phase, including plan takeoffs, estimating costs, and preparing bids and budgets.
- This role requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with clients and project teams.
- A Bachelor's degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, Business, Accounting, or related field is preferred, along with 3-5 years of experience as a Project Manager/Estimator in the commercial painting industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and comply with all WPI policies, procedures, and corporate safety program.
- Actively participate in the safety plans and measures of assigned projects.
- Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion within budget.
- Prepare detailed proposals by reviewing drawings, specifications, bid forms, and other paperwork.
- Communicate with clients during the bidding phase and on any modifications of a project.
- Assess budget and plan profitability status and objectives.
- Analyze different areas of a project to collect relevant data and identify potential risks.
- Participate in job walks to assess site conditions and inform a reliable and realistic bid.
- Price change requests and update the budget promptly.
- Review weekly job cost reports with the project Foreman and team.
- Prepare billings and approve invoices for payment.
- Track progress and spending to ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate warranties, O&Ms, and closeout on projects.
- Complete and be accountable for job cost control measures through monthly financial projections.
Requirements
- Ability to diagnose and process key information, recognize critical areas on the job that could impact profitability, and then actively navigate the project away from risks and liabilities for a successful outcome.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Strong oral and written communication skills required.
- Ability to work in a team environment required.
- Strong customer service skills required.
- Ability to multitask, think critically, and problem-solve required.
- Ability to learn new job skills by engaging in technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as taught required.
Compensation Package
The compensation package includes a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 USD, based on candidate experience and certifications, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, accidental death, and disability benefits, flexible paid time off policy, and paid holidays.
