Job Summary

As a Vocational Nurse in our Ambulatory Services team, you will play a vital role in providing safe, therapeutic care for Dermatology patients. Under the supervision of our Medical Director, you will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.

You will function as a member of our interdisciplinary and nursing teams, carrying out established nursing procedures and performing related duties as required by patient need. Your expertise will be essential in coordinating new and existing patient paperwork relevant to care to be given.

As a Vocational Nurse, you will triage patient phone calls and messages, directing assessment need calls to RN or MD. You will also assist with the management of patient care administered by other members of the medical and nursing team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide safe, therapeutic care for Dermatology patients
  • Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
  • Function as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams
  • Carry out established nursing procedures and perform related duties as required by patient need

Requirements
  • Licensed as a Vocational Nurse in the State of California
  • AHA CPR Certification
  • One to two year related experience in similar environment
  • Able to sit at a computer terminal and use telephone headphones for extended periods of time
  • Excellent spoken and written communication
