Job Title: Safety Coordinator II

Southland Industries is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Coordinator II to join our team. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with company, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tour and inspect job sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Document safety inspections, identify areas for improvement, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement safety training programs for employees.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and wellness.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in a safety role, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Health, or Environmental Applied Sciences or related field.
  • CHST or ASP certification preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications required.
  • OSHA 10hr, OSHA 30hr, and OSHA 40hr training required.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
