About the Position

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team as a Tenure-Track Associate or Assistant Professor of Higher Education. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching graduate-level courses, conducting research, and mentoring students in the Higher Education program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Mentoring: Teach graduate-level courses in higher education, including topics such as governance, policy, and administration; diversity and equity; college teaching; leadership and management; and assessment.
  • Research and Scholarship: Conduct and disseminate research related to higher education institutions, leadership, and students, with a focus on advancing knowledge and informing practice in the field.
  • Service and Engagement: Participate in service roles within the university and community, and maintain an active presence in national, state, and local professional organizations.
Requirements
  • A doctorate in higher education, student affairs, or a closely related field, earned prior to the position's starting date.
  • A demonstrated commitment to the preparation of strong justice-oriented educational leaders and scholars, with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Previous work experience in higher education settings is preferred, but not required.
