We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part Time Cafeteria Dishwasher at the Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School.

Job Summary:

This is a part-time position responsible for performing various duties in connection with the operation of the school cafeteria and washing pots, pans, and small wares used in food preparation and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate the pot washer machine
  • Hand wash pots, pans, and small wares from breakfast and lunch production
  • Load soiled sheet pans and pans in the washer
  • Clean sinks and sink room at the end of the day
  • Put clean pots and pans on the shelf
  • Sweep the area of the pot washer
  • Report equipment breakdowns to the cafeteria manager
  • Order cleaning products and chemicals as needed
Requirements:
  • High School Degree or equivalent required
  • Knowledge of cafeteria and sanitizing procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
Work Environment:

This position is performed in a typical school cafeteria environment, which can be moderately noisy. The employee will interact with other school staff, teachers, and students.
