Position Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled Project Engineer with a strong emphasis on process engineering. This role is pivotal in spearheading projects aimed at enhancing and refining industrial processes within our organization.

Key Responsibilities
The Project Engineer will:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets focused on process enhancement and optimization.
  • Collaborate closely with operational teams to design and implement new processes or improve existing ones.
  • Engage with various stakeholders, including clients and contractors, to ensure effective project execution.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, making necessary adjustments to meet objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to technical specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
  • Oversee the procurement and installation of necessary equipment and materials.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including process flow diagrams and technical reports.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for process-related initiatives.
  • Facilitate post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with management to address any conditions affecting product quality or safety.

Food Safety and Quality Assurance
As part of your responsibilities, you will:

  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and promote a culture of safety within the team.
  • Understand and implement SQF policies related to pest control, allergen management, and sanitation.
  • Report any food quality and safety issues to the Quality Assurance Manager for appropriate action.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Food Science, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in process engineering and project management, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
  • Certifications in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or similar methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of process design, optimization, and control in food production.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Work Environment
This position may require prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer, as well as the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Travel may be necessary for project requirements.
