Industrial Process Optimization Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to lead our production process improvement initiatives within the factory. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial engineering, with a focus on process optimization and lean manufacturing techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of process improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conduct Value Stream Mapping (VSM) analysis to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of optimization projects.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each process and personnel.
- Implement lean manufacturing techniques to reduce waste and enhance productivity.
- Monitor and evaluate process performance data to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial engineering within the automotive battery manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in layout improvement and process optimization.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in CAD software and process simulation tools.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
- Project management certification (PMP or similar).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to move around work sites, which may include walking, standing, and climbing ladders or stairs.
- Flexibility to bend, kneel, or crouch, particularly when inspecting installations or troubleshooting.
- Capability to lift and carry moderate weights, typically up to 25-50 pounds, as some equipment and materials might be heavy.
- Occasional lifting of heavier items may be required, depending on the project.
- Ability to work in various environments, including offices, construction sites, and manufacturing facilities.
- Willingness and ability to travel to various job sites, which may require driving or other forms of transportation.
