Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Food Service Worker to join our team at Geisinger Health System. As a Food Service Worker, you will be responsible for performing routine tasks related to food preparation, serving, and cleaning of tableware and equipment. You will also be responsible for ensuring a professional and appropriate service standard while performing your job duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform food preparation, packaging, and deliveries
- Clean and sanitize food service areas as required by management and regulatory agencies
- Take and record temperature of food and food storage areas
- Place food trays over food warmers for immediate service or store them in refrigerated storage cabinets
- Weigh or measure ingredients
- Receive and store food supplies, equipment, and utensils in refrigerators, cupboards, and other storage areas
- May handle cash depending on needs
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Preferred)
- Food And Nutrition Services; Menu Planning; Communication Skills; Team Player; Computer Skills; Organizational Skills; Clinical Policies And Standards; Healthcare Industry
