Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team at Hargrove Engineers & Constructors. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and executing CAPEX/OPEX projects from initial scoping and funding to detailed engineering, procurement, startup, and commissioning, and project closure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling and Organization: Schedule, organize, lead, and document required project meetings and reviews.
  • Project Scope Development: Develop and prepare project scope packages, including preliminary designs, schedules, cost estimates, and appropriation funding requests.
  • Project Execution Planning: Develop project execution plans.
  • Design Review and Approval: Review and approve engineering design packages and ensure process safety recommendations are incorporated into final designs.
  • Procurement and Contract Management: Prepare requests for proposal (RFP) scope packages, schedule pre-bid meetings with Procurement, and perform technical review of bids.
  • Construction Scheduling and Management: Manage construction scheduling, contracts, activities, and work execution.
  • Team Collaboration: Develop partnerships with project team members to successfully execute projects.
  • Project Closure: Ensure that Operations and Production achieve a successful project startup, and that project-related action items are completed.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering from an accredited university is preferred.
  • Certification: Professional Engineering and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) registration is highly preferred.
  • Experience: This position requires 7+ years of relevant experience managing and executing CAPEX/OPEX projects.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical Knowledge: Good working knowledge of P&IDs/symbiology and understanding of civil, structural, and mechanical design drawings.
  • Industry Best Practices: Experienced knowledge of detailed standard design and construction industry best practices.
  • Communication and Leadership: Listening, writing, and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to work well with other project team members and contractors.
  • Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Ability to apply and demonstrate good leadership, organizational, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and decision-making skills.
  • Computer Skills: General computer skills are required. AutoCAD experience is recommended.
  • Workplace Safety: Strong commitment to workplace safety.
