We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Chemist I to join our team at BASF Corporation. As a key member of our Research and Development group, you will play a critical role in driving innovation and advancing our catalysis research.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute projects focused on creating new innovative products for the refining/FCC market.
  • Collaborate with technicians and colleagues to drive development of new catalyst formulations and improve existing products.
  • Lead a team of scientists and technicians in solving complex problems and developing innovative solutions.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and communicate results to stakeholders through presentations and reports.
  • Optimize performance of existing products or processes through collaboration with R&D, business, and manufacturing colleagues.
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Material Science with at least 3 years of related experience in catalysis research, scale-up, or manufacturing.
  • Or M.S. degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Material Science with 5+ years of related experience in catalyst development.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, data analysis, organization, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with heterogeneous catalysis formulations and manufacturing is a plus.
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools and statistical tools such as DOE is a plus.
