Job Description

The Infinity Staffing Professionals is seeking a qualified Culinary Arts Teacher to join our team. This role involves developing the instructional program for all culinary arts students, with a focus on hands-on experience in the culinary field.

Duties:

  1. Develop and implement lessons to teach essential skills in Culinary Science.
  2. Provide group and individual instruction in food preparation, cooking methods, and baking techniques.
  3. Teach food science and culinary science courses.
  4. Instruct students in safety and sanitation procedures.
  5. Cover nutrition topics.
  6. Modify curriculum/lessons as needed.
  7. Participate in school activities as required.

Requirements:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree – Preferred.
  • Effective communication skills (oral and written).
  • Able to organize environments and instruction to facilitate learning.
  • Ability to adapt to school and student needs.
  • Experience in writing lesson plans and developing projects for individual and group instruction.
  • Flexibility in using diverse teaching strategies to meet students' learning styles, abilities, interests, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with school/district safety procedures.

Working Conditions:

Maintain emotional control under stress. Daily attendance and punctuality are essential functions. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling, or pushing may be required. Ability to move and lift culinary equipment, desks, and other classroom materials as needed.

Salary and Benefits:

$45,000 - $65,000 per year. Full-time, Exempt position with benefits including 401(k), dental insurance, employee assistance program, flexible schedule, flexible spending account, health insurance, health savings account, life insurance, paid time off, parental leave, professional development assistance, and vision insurance.
