Patient Care Technician

About the Role
Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including vital sign checks, medication administration, and wound care.
- Assist with patient transfers, ambulation, and positioning.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans and goals.
- Document patient information and communicate effectively with healthcare team members.
- Perform various tasks, such as preparing patients for procedures, transporting patients, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a Patient Care Technician program or equivalent medical background experience.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs.
- Strong sense of accountability and commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical Assistant (MA).
- Phlebotomy and EKG certification.
- At least one year of experience in a hospital setting.
