ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Employ Merry Maids' cleaning solutions and methods to thoroughly clean, dust, and remove cobwebs, including all hanging light fixtures, baseboards, and windowsills during each visit.
  • Utilize Merry Maids' products to sanitize and deodorize all bathroom fixtures, including showers, tubs, toilets, sinks, mirrors, and vanities.
  • Clean kitchen appliances, countertops, cabinets, tables, and chairs using Merry Maids' cleaning procedures.
  • Vacuum stairways and meticulously clean all hard surface floors, including hands-and-knees washing, using Merry Maids' products.
  • Rearrange reasonably movable furniture to clean underneath and behind, ensuring all upholstered furniture is vacuumed, including beneath cushions.
  • Transport cleaning supplies and equipment to and from the office, vehicle, and clients' residences.
  • Assist in maintaining a tidy and welcoming office environment.
  • Support the Team Captain in replenishing cleaning kits and perform necessary equipment maintenance at the end of each workday.
  • Foster a positive work atmosphere with a friendly demeanor and contribute to the overall team effort, including punctuality and uniform compliance.
  • Show respect and understanding towards colleagues.
  • Help uphold the goal of delivering quality customer service.
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings.
  • Carry out other reasonable and related tasks as assigned or requested.
QUALIFICATIONS: To excel in this role, candidates must successfully complete each essential duty. The following attributes are preferred:

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND/OR TRAINING:
  • Ability to distinguish between various cleaning products by recognizing their color or name.
  • Understanding of specific applications for cleaning products.
  • Capability to interpret cleaning instructions provided on customized service reports.
  • Effective communication with the Team Captain to meet customer expectations.
PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to travel to various job sites as required.
  • Capacity to handle regular exposure to pet hair, mold, dust, mildew, and cleaning agents.
  • Ability to lift and transport 20 pounds of equipment across an average of 4 homes daily, potentially up to 6 homes. This may involve climbing stairs while carrying equipment and loading/unloading from vehicles.
  • Ability to perform wet cleaning tasks on knees for 60% of the work time, including cleaning kitchen and bathroom floors, showers, and tubs; wiping countertops at waist height for 20% of the time; bending for toilets and finishing showers and tubs at knee height for 10% of the time; and reaching shoulder height or above for 10% of the time.
  • Perform dry cleaning tasks with the ability to reach, pull, and stoop to make beds for 5% of the time; operate a vacuum cleaner weighing up to 12 pounds for 60% of the time; carry and use a portable vacuum weighing 6 pounds (worn diagonally across the shoulder) for 15% of the time; and dust furniture from floor to overhead for 20% of the time, which involves bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, and moving small furniture.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Current liability insurance for automobile.
OTHER CRITERIA:
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Ability to pass a motor vehicle records check.
  • Ability to pass a drug screening.
