At Expeditors, we're seeking a talented Developer III to join our Domain Engineering Team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in creating reusable software services and patterns to support our entire enterprise.
Key Responsibilities- Develop patterns and best-practices for platform service orchestration for our enterprise logistics transaction management system.
- Collaborate with the team to define how functionality and observability will be consistently provided across all platform services.
- Document, publish, and refine best practices and strategic guardrails.
- Work closely with the pipeline/infrastructure team to define input.
You'll be part of a small agile team, typically consisting of 5-6 Developers, 1 Developer-in-Test, a Product Owner, and a Scrum Master. Our team works closely with an Architect and a Program Manager to identify and clear roadblocks and provide guidance on how the team's work can align with strategic objectives.
What to ExpectOutside of our daily scrum meetings, Developers spend most of their time developing or collaborating with other team members. During each two-week sprint, there are meetings for backlog refinement, sprint planning, a sprint demo, and a retrospective.
QualificationsWe're looking for talented individuals who are passionate about their work and want to be part of a collaborative team. If you feel you don't exactly fit the criteria below but would still be a good fit, let us know.
This position is on-site and will reside in the greater Seattle, WA area at one of the following locations: Downtown Seattle, Federal Way, Lynnwood, or Bellevue (Factoria). Candidates must be local or willing to relocate.
