About the Role

Sunroc is seeking a skilled Asphalt Laborer to join our team in Cedar City. As a critical member of our paving team, you will play a key role in building better communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general labor duties on construction or paving projects, including raking and shoveling asphalt, operating a roller and plate compactor, and dumping windrows from belly and double belly trucks.
  • Work with a safety mindset and strive to keep others safe, visualizing and implementing the Clyde Companies, Inc. vision and core values.
  • Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards, control traffic passing near, in, and around work zones, and maintain a clean worksite.
  • Help prepare grades for paving, assist other team members in laying out jobs, and clean, maintain, and keep track of hand tools.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of asphalt paving procedures or the ability to learn.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to work long hours in outside conditions and lift at least 50 pounds.
