Senior Project Accountant (Hybrid):
  • Prepare general ledger entries for construction initiatives and corporate financial transactions.
  • Distribute indirect expenses to the project level.
  • Analyze project gross margins on a monthly and quarterly basis, identifying discrepancies.
  • Compile and assess job cost reconciliations and document closing journal entries.
  • Oversee monthly account reconciliations.
  • Generate monthly GAAP financial statements along with supporting schedules.
  • Provide supplementary financial schedules for monthly reporting packages.
  • Track monthly fees, trailing costs, participation fees, marketing expenses, and other recurring transactions.
  • Administer other regular payments such as insurance premiums, special check requests, and property tax obligations.
  • Prepare quarterly amortization schedules for prepaids and depreciation schedules for fixed assets.
  • Compile and submit monthly loan and construction draw requests.
  • Support management with internal and external audit processes.
  • Assist with accounting for joint ventures, including capital calls and distributions.
  • Support general accounting functions.
Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

Experience:
  • Preferred experience with financial statements.
  • A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
  • Prior experience in the real estate construction sector is required.
