Senior Director of Surgical Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to fill the position of Senior Director of Surgical Services at North Mississippi Health Services.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the overall management and operations of Surgical Services, ensuring effective and efficient patient care.
- Promote and enforce departmental compliance with general safety and infection control standards.
- Develop and manage personnel within responsible departments, including the OR Clinical Director, Chief CRNA, Nurse Manager, Office Manager, Surgical Services IS Coordinator, Nurse Practitioner, and Ortho-Trauma Clinical Coordinator.
- Oversee Surgical Services budget development, implementation, and compliance.
- Serve as a liaison between staff, physicians, patients, and family members.
- Prepare and present operational and financial reports/projects as required.
- Recommend pricing levels and packaging.
- Assist with managed care negotiations and development.
- Stay abreast of changes in healthcare and Surgical Services.
- Adhere to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines.
- Comply with applicable Local/State/Federal policies/procedures/guideline/regulations/laws/statues.
- Master's Degree in Health Administration or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a leadership role (i.e. product line manager or executive level ambulatory care/inpatient surgery setting).
- Knowledge of physicians' referral relationships with medical community at-large.
- Working knowledge of budgeting, financial analysis, goal setting, and personnel management.
- Working knowledge of computers and computer software (i.e. Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, etc.).
