Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Kroger Manufacturing. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and ensure optimal performance.
  • Repair and Maintain Equipment: Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, as well as perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials and supplies.
  • Document Work Orders: Accurately complete and document work orders to track maintenance activities and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Support Predictive Maintenance: Collaborate with the maintenance team to implement predictive maintenance strategies and improve equipment efficiency.
  • Participate in Plant Initiatives: Contribute to and support all plant initiatives, including safety, quality, and customer satisfaction programs.
  • Organize and Prioritize Tasks: Effectively plan and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and ensure efficient use of time.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient Knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical Systems: Possess a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, including welding and fabrication techniques.
  • Strong Attention to Detail: Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and precision in all tasks and activities.
  • Effective Communication Skills: Possess strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and management.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Have basic computer skills and knowledge of maintenance management software.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to noise, dust, and other hazardous conditions. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
