Chipton-Ross is seeking a Manufacturing Operator for a contract opportunity. This role requires a commitment to working onsite and is integral to our production process.
Key Responsibilities:
The Manufacturing Operator will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Conducting measurements and performing necessary adjustments.
- Executing visual inspections and ensuring quality standards.
- Maintaining cleanliness of the workspace and equipment.
- Labeling, bagging, and tagging products for distribution.
- Palletizing and wrapping finished goods for storage.
- Monitoring production processes and completing necessary changeovers.
- Updating production boards and managing scrap materials.
- Operating forklifts and ensuring safe material handling.
- Documenting processes and maintaining accurate records.
- Providing coverage for other operators during breaks.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess:
- Basic computer and math skills.
- The ability to comprehend and follow job instructions.
- Basic tool knowledge and the capability to write legibly.
- Understanding of safety protocols and the ability to perform tasks safely and efficiently.
- Willingness to work overtime, including weekends and off shifts.
Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. A minimum score of Silver on the Career Readiness Certificate is required. Experience in industrial or mechanical settings, particularly with extrusion processes, is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
This position involves:
- Walking and standing for extended periods.
- Lifting up to 35 lbs. and performing overhead lifting.
- Bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
- Operating a forklift safely, with a requirement to pass a forklift physical.
Work may involve exposure to heat and fumes, and duties may require overtime, including nights and weekends.
Education:
An accredited High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Shift:
This is a Full-Time position on the 1st Shift.
