Job Overview

Position Summary: This role is essential in supporting the execution of tasks related to the emergency management of both hazardous and non-hazardous waste clean-up, site restoration, equipment decontamination, and various environmental activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and loading of necessary equipment, including hoses, chemicals, and other supplies required for projects.
  • Utilize high-pressure water blasting equipment to clean industrial machinery such as pipes, boilers, tanks, and heat exchangers.
  • Operate specialized equipment, including pumping systems and hydro-blasting tools, as well as vacuum trucks and cutting machinery.
  • Perform physical tasks in diverse weather conditions.
  • Work in environments with limited space, confined areas, and elevated heights.
  • Engage in physically demanding labor, including lifting, unloading, and using hand and power tools, as well as pressure washers.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and work independently when required.
  • Communicate findings clearly to supervisors and adhere to instructions.
  • Drive pick-up trucks and operate small machinery.
  • Learn and comply with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Understand hazardous materials handling and safety precautions.
  • Maintain accurate service records for all equipment used.
  • Ensure the proper care and usage of company tools.
  • Participate in environmental operations and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Perform additional related duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Certifications:

Must possess a valid driver's license; Class A Commercial Driver's License is required.

Experience with Level D, C, & B Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is preferred.

Completion of 40-Hour HAZWOPER and Confined Space training is preferred.

Experience: Previous work experience in construction, electrical, landscaping, farming, or similar outdoor roles is required.

Skills: This intermediate-level position necessitates teamwork in varied situations and the ability to follow instructions. Proficiency in using or learning to operate tools and equipment such as pulleys, vises, hand and power tools, hydraulic jacks, and generators is essential.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves extended periods of driving and intense physical labor under challenging conditions due to weather, terrain, and the nature of environmental emergencies.
