Job Summary

As the Project Manager for environmental projects at Terracon, you will oversee all aspects of project execution. This includes ensuring that the project is completed safely, on time, and within budget while adhering to the contracted scope. You will monitor progress and performance against the project plan, address any operational problems, and implement solutions to minimize delays. Your role will also involve managing resources, scheduling, and budgeting. You will handle forecasts and collaborate with external vendors, subcontractors, or contractors as necessary. Regularly conducting meetings and preparing reports will be essential to communicate the project's status to both the project team and clients effectively. You will set priorities, assign tasks, and coordinate with project staff to meet project targets and milestones. In addition to project management, you will be responsible for maintaining client satisfaction through clear communication and ensuring that their requirements are met. You will also work closely with the Authorized Project Reviewer (APR) to ensure their engagement at critical stages of the project, particularly during key decision points. This collaborative approach is crucial for the successful delivery of the project.

  • Works with client or National Account Manager (NAM) to define project scope, schedule and budget.
  • Design, communicate, and implement a project plan for completing the project.
  • Identify, develop, and gather the resources to complete the project. Developing project schedules, budgets and forecasts; and selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors.
  • Partner with other departments or offices to secure specialized resources for the project.
  • Conduct meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project.
  • Set priorities, assign tasks, and coordinates project staff to meet project targets and milestones.
  • Coordinates with accounting for financial management of business intelligence, invoicing and collections
  • Develop understanding and be aware of project-related risk. Be familiar with what could go wrong on a project and how to protect the Company. Be familiar with company risk policies.
  • Lead safety efforts for team and ensure team follows safety rules and guidelines. Promote pre-task planning for all projects.
  • Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects. Monitor quality standards and practices. Engage APRs on projects at their onset.


Requirements

Bachelor's degree in technical discipline practices by the Firm including Engineering, Environmental Science or Geology

  • Asbestos Project Management License
  • Asbestos Air Monitoring Technician License
