Job Description:

As a key member of the Rockwell Automation team, you will be responsible for coordinating, implementing, and maintaining the company's Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programs for Global Workplace Services. This role will support the Mayfield Heights, OH location and report to the Facilities Manager.

Responsibilities:
  • Support and implement EHS programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, as well as Rockwell Automation policies and procedures.
  • Participate in government agencies' field visits to understand applicable EHS regulations and ensure compliance.
  • Implement company EHS procedures at the assigned location and hold management and employees accountable for following the rules.
  • Provide technical support and input on EHS issues affecting projects and processes at the regional/country level.
  • Facilitate employee EHS training for hazards and tasks performed at the location.
  • Define and maintain an EHS training matrix and provide necessary training.
  • Document, maintain, and implement emergency response plans and conduct annual evacuation drills.
  • Report monthly injury/illness metrics to HQ-EHS and support the investigation of injuries and illnesses.
  • Ensure that environmental, health, and safety assessments, personal protective equipment, procedures, training, and other control measures are provided to employees.
  • Perform ergonomic assessments as needed for employee safety.
  • Work with Fire Safety personnel on alarm panels, testing devices, and annual inspections.
  • Work with lab leaders to establish and maintain safety practices.
  • Provide environmental data (energy, waste, and water) to the company in a timely manner and drive continual improvement.
  • Support Rockwell Production System EHS Elements as measured by the EHS Performance Assessments.
  • Participate in assessments and self-assessments as appropriate.
  • Responsible for the ongoing environmental management system and ISO 14001 certification.
  • Responsible for the ongoing safety management system.

The Essentials:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required

The Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related field of study
  • 5+ years of experience
  • The ability to effectively communicate with various levels of the organization
  • Experience with MS Office suite
  • A self-starter with technical and organizational skills
