The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a highly skilled Health Education Specialist/Care Coordinator to join our team at the NWA Psychiatric Research Institute (PRI) Odyssey Clinic. This position will provide comprehensive support services to clients experiencing a first episode of psychosis, assisting them in achieving their vocational and educational goals through the NAVIGATE program's Supportive Employment and Education Specialist (SEE) and other case management services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with clients and their families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, focusing on vocational and educational objectives.
  • Engage with employers and academic professionals to facilitate clients' access to employment and educational opportunities.
  • Provide case management services, including operations support, and assist the therapy and nursing teams with case management tasks and unit operations tasks.
  • Participate in weekly and other periodic supervision, NAVIGATE team meetings, and client treatment planning/review meetings.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma plus six (6) years of experience.
  • Mental Health Paraprofessional certification within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in education, English, Speech Communication, or related field plus two (2) years of behavioral health or other health care experience.
