Job Summary

As a Program Evaluation and Risk Management Specialist with the Internal Revenue Service, you will play a critical role in analyzing and evaluating programs and activities to determine their investment potential and contribution to the achievement of the mission and strategic goals. You will identify business, technological, and financial risks within ongoing programs and opportunities directly and indirectly involved in meeting established agency goals and objectives. Your expertise will be sought after by senior executives to provide accurate and timely data, policy options, and recommendations to help them carry out their strategic thinking and decision-making responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct policy and management analyses of complex issues and operations to provide senior executives with accurate and timely data, policy options, and recommendations.
Identify business, technological, and financial risks within ongoing programs and opportunities directly and indirectly involved in meeting established agency goals and objectives.
Develop and implement policies with organizational impact, working closely with senior executives to ensure alignment with agency strategies and goals.
Use information technology hardware and software to gather and interpret data and prepare reports, spreadsheets, flow charts, policy statements, action plans, milestones, and illustrated presentations for delivery to key strategic leaders.

Requirements

1 year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.
Experience managing multiple assignments that required a wide range of program oversight, qualitative and quantitative methods, planning policies and procedures, negotiation techniques, and oral and written communications.
Experience with computer applications sufficient to prepare written reports, spreadsheets, and flowcharts.
