Job Summary

As a Program Evaluation and Risk Management Specialist with the Internal Revenue Service, you will play a critical role in analyzing and evaluating programs and policies to identify areas for improvement and mitigate risks. You will work closely with senior executives to develop and implement policies and procedures that support the agency's mission and strategic goals. Your expertise in program evaluation, risk management, and policy analysis will be essential in helping the agency achieve its objectives and improve its overall performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct program evaluations and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement and mitigate risks
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to support the agency's mission and strategic goals
• Analyze and evaluate data to inform decision-making and policy development
• Collaborate with senior executives and other stakeholders to develop and implement policies and procedures
• Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements and cost savings

Requirements

• 1 year of specialized experience in program evaluation, risk management, and policy analysis
• Experience with computer applications, including data analysis and reporting tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Conditions

This is a non-bargaining unit position. The work schedule is a standard 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday. Alternative work schedules, including telework, may be available. The selected candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and may be required to travel occasionally.
