About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Care Team Director to lead our caregiver team at Senior Helpers of West Kentucky. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our caregivers, ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise a team of caregivers, providing guidance and support to ensure they are meeting the needs of our clients.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our caregivers.
  • Conduct quality assurance site checks to ensure that care plans are being implemented correctly and that all job duties are being performed to the highest standard.
  • Maintain morale and engagement among our caregivers through recognition programs and other initiatives.
  • Review daily logs and timesheets to ensure that each caregiver is following the care plan and that lost hours are identified.
  • Supervise the distribution of caregiver communication and ensure that all caregivers are aware of company policies and procedures.
  • Review all caregiver call outs, late arrivals, early departures, and refusals of assignments, taking appropriate action based on company policies.
  • Ensure that orientation and hiring sessions are comprehensive and conducted according to standards for all new hires.
  • Implement the Senior Gems program and other training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our caregivers.
Requirements
  • H.S. Degree Required, CNA preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience managing employees, hiring and/or onboarding required, preferably in a healthcare-related setting.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a changing environment.
  • Experience in conflict management.
  • Ability to use critical thinking to proactively prevent and solve problems.
  • Ability to visit clients' homes in the assigned territory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and Outlook required.
  • Ability to learn software programs quickly.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
