About the Role

Cumberland Hall Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Intake to lead our Admissions Department. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the department's operations, ensuring seamless patient access to care, and providing direction to a team of specialists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical direction to the Admissions Department, ensuring high-quality patient care and assessment services.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and budget plans to ensure departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with medical staff, nursing staff, and administration to ensure smooth patient flow and care coordination.
  • Interface with external referring agencies and payers to ensure timely and accurate patient admissions.
  • Participate in the development and management of processes related to the hospital's strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting.
  • Proven experience in managing a professional/clinical team, with a focus on staffing, budget, and process improvements.
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and experience with crisis prevention intervention (CPI) or Handle With Care.
  • Ability to effectively use computers, analysis programs, and internet for measurement and reporting of key indicators and trends.
