Position Overview:
As a key player in the Department of the Army, the incumbent will act as a Management Decision Package (MDEP) Manager, focusing on acquisition functional mission sets.

Core Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough reviews of ongoing processes and programs to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and directives from DA/DOD/Congress.
2. Engage in continuous analysis to identify trends, propose resource adjustments, and implement necessary changes.
3. Prepare and deliver comprehensive portfolio briefings to senior leaders within the Program Evaluation Group.
4. Effectively optimize, control, and manage resources across the assigned portfolio.

Conditions of Employment:
- Candidates may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination based on a completed background investigation.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- This role is part of the Army Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology Workforce, and the selectee must fulfill PROGRAM MANAGEMENT certification requirements within 48 months of starting.
- The position may require up to 25% business travel.
- Submission of a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) is mandatory upon entry and annually thereafter.
- A Secret security clearance is required and must be maintained.

Qualifications:

Applicants must meet one of the employment authority categories to be eligible for this position. Documentation proving eligibility will be required.

Experience Requirements:
To qualify, candidates must possess specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-03). This includes:
1. Utilizing analytical methods to assess program efficiency and compliance with laws and regulations.
2. Developing acquisition resource plans to fulfill program needs.
3. Applying life cycle management processes to implement adjustments in costs, schedules, or performance.
4. Advising senior leaders on resource allocation and acquisition strategies.

Evaluation Criteria:

- Administration and Management
- Planning and Evaluating
- Reasoning

Additional Information:
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
