Job Overview

Salary: $75,000.00

General Purpose: The Facility Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the comprehensive functions of patient support services and administrative operations to ensure optimal efficiency in patient care and business processes at the designated Family Health Care site. This role necessitates effective collaboration with various departmental leaders (such as Pharmacy, Dental, Behavioral Health, Information Services, Human Resources, Quality, and Infection Control) and organizational executives to advance the mission and vision of Family Health Care.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership: Educates team members about the organization's community role, mission, vision, and compliance requirements. Ensures the implementation and ongoing assessment of policies related to HIPAA, Corporate Compliance, Human Resources, Information Services, Safety, Quality, and Infection Control.
  2. Operations Management: Supervises all operational aspects of the medical department in collaboration with the Director of Operations and Compliance and the Chief Medical Officer. This includes managing front-desk operations and back-office clinical staff.
  3. Infection Control Oversight: Works closely with the Director of Clinical Services and Infection Control Coordinator to ensure adherence to infection control and sterilization protocols.
  4. Quality Improvement Initiatives: Collaborates with the Quality Improvement department to implement care quality initiatives and utilizes population health tools to assist staff in achieving performance goals.
  5. Risk Management: Acts as the primary contact for documenting and investigating patient satisfaction and safety concerns.
  6. Radiology Services Management: Oversees radiology services to ensure efficient patient care delivery.
  7. Health Information Systems Integrity: Ensures the accuracy and security of health information across all platforms.
  8. Facility Maintenance: Collaborates with Maintenance and Housekeeping to ensure the building's upkeep and security.
  9. Financial Oversight: Communicates the sources of revenue and expenses while assisting in strategies to enhance revenue and reduce costs.
  10. Compliance with Privacy Laws: Demonstrates an understanding of and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
  11. Policy Adherence: Follows organizational codes and safety protocols.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in healthcare clinic operations.
  • Understanding of medical billing, coding, reimbursement practices, and federal compliance regulations.
  • Familiarity with the legal aspects of health information systems and human resource management.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software, including Excel, Microsoft Word, and Electronic Health Records.

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with all stakeholders.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Business or a health-related field.

Must be bondable.

Alternative Qualifications:

Five years of experience in medical office supervision.
