ROLE OVERVIEW

The Retail Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in the overall success of the store, supporting Store Management in maximizing sales potential, recruiting and nurturing talent, maintaining store aesthetics, and managing expenses and inventory discrepancies.

Must be available to work any or all three weekend shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

RESPONSIBILITIES

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Drive sales and profitability, reduce losses, and ensure the store is visually appealing and impeccably organized.
  • Identify and implement strategies to meet and surpass business objectives.
  • Uphold customer service standards at the highest level.
  • Exhibit effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Represent the brand image through professional appearance and conduct.
  • Take charge of the store's productivity and profitability, including sales growth, staffing, and inventory management.
  • Lead all store activities in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively.
OPERATIONS
  • Understand and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
  • Maintain a high level of security and safety awareness within the store.
  • Identify issues, analyze root causes, and develop alternative solutions.
  • Manage controllable expenses, including payroll allocation.
  • Participate in management meetings when the Store Manager is unavailable.
  • Follow the Inventory Shrinkage Improvement Program.
  • Ensure productivity during inventory counts and price adjustments.
  • Ensure the store is equipped with necessary tools and knowledge for effective use.
  • Oversee store openings and closings.
  • Follow directions and complete assigned tasks and responsibilities.
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Train and mentor team members on effective sales techniques and product knowledge to enhance their performance and drive sales.
  • Lead by example, take ownership of personal development, assess performance, and actively seek feedback and resources for improvement.
  • Assist in recruiting and hiring sales associates who embody strong presentation and communication skills reflective of the brand image.
  • Develop associates to be knowledgeable in product, merchandising, operations, customer service, sales, and career growth within the company.
  • Inspire and develop support staff to achieve store goals and objectives.
  • Address challenging situations while maintaining performance standards.
  • Effectively supervise the sales floor to ensure customer and associate engagement at all times.
  • Foster teamwork within the store and company, ensuring staff is treated with professionalism and respect.
  • Actively participate and assist the Store Manager in weekly management meetings and quarterly staff gatherings.
  • Communicate ideas effectively and lead by example.
  • Maintain confidentiality and fulfill commitments.
MERCHANDISING & VISUAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Directly supervise designated departments, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Oversee the execution of all merchandising directives, updates, and markdowns promptly and effectively.
  • Analyze business needs, identifying top-selling and slow-moving items while fulfilling merchandising strategies.
  • Maintain elevated store presentation by training and enforcing standards as defined by brand guidelines and company directives, with attention to detail.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of sales floor and stockroom organization and systems.
  • Keep management informed of all merchandise and visual-related issues.
  • Ensure store organization, fixtures, hardware, and general cleanliness are maintained.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
  • A minimum of one year of experience in retail management within the fashion industry.
  • Knowledge of retail performance metrics with a strong awareness of the local market.
  • Excellent computer skills, documentation abilities, and communication proficiency.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs.
