As a Customer Experience Consultant, you'll be the vital link between our customers' at-home and in-store experiences, providing a simple and seamless process. You'll respond to sales leads and customer inquiries, ensuring customers can buy the vehicle they want in a way that suits them.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Connect with inbound customers online and over the phone to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Use your knowledge of our inventory to guide customers towards vehicles that meet their needs.
  • Guide customers every step of the way, from online sales or appraisal to arranging finance applications and scheduling vehicle delivery.
  • Ensure a seamless transition from online to in-store purchasing to provide an unrivaled customer service experience.
  • Mentor others as your skillset expands.
  • Achieve sales targets while providing an iconic customer experience.
  • Acquire the Automotive Sales Persons License in specific states, which may require testing and travel.

As a Customer Experience Consultant at CarMax, you'll receive an hourly rate and have the opportunity to earn a performance-based sales incentive in addition to your hourly rate. You'll work in a high-energy sales environment where you'll collaborate with a team to meet goals. Requirements:
  • Sales and customer service experience, preferably in retail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Good listening skills and a strong customer focus.
  • High level of self-motivation to achieve performance goals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn and master new technologies; strong computer skills.
  • Open availability for shifts that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be open to shifting schedules two times per year according to business needs.
  • Hybrid role with a requirement for working on-site one day per week.
  • Candidates must live within 60 miles or 1 hour of the Customer Experience Center (CEC) location.
