Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Enhance the quality of life for residents by providing entertainment, intercommunication, exercise, and relaxation opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement a program of activities that cater to diverse resident interests.
  • Assist residents with outside activities and hobbies, promoting socialization and engagement.
  • Organize and lead arts and crafts activities, fostering creativity and self-expression.
  • Coordinate group activities, ensuring inclusivity and participation from all residents.
  • Print and distribute a monthly activities calendar, keeping residents informed about upcoming events.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activity engagement.
  • Conduct initial activity assessments and quarterly progress notes, monitoring resident needs and progress.
  • Work flexible hours, including every other weekend, to accommodate resident needs and program requirements.
Position Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent, demonstrating a strong foundation in education and communication.
  • Ability to supervise group recreational activities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for residents.
  • Prior experience in a nursing home setting is preferred, but not required, as training and support will be provided.
