Compensation: $90,000-$115,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project accounting, including invoicing, revenue and expense reconciliation, accruals, and budget analysis.
  • Manage daily cash flow by reconciling all incoming and outgoing transactions.
  • Supervise accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger activities.
  • Prepare month-end closing entries and reconciliations.
  • Develop monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages.
  • Analyze and report on budget discrepancies.
  • Work closely with the CFO on annual budgeting and quarterly re-forecasts.
  • Investigate accounting issues to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Act as a liaison for external auditors and prepare the annual audit documentation.
  • Coordinate and finalize various monthly and annual tax submissions.
  • Conduct ad hoc reporting and analysis as required.

Team Leadership:
  • Delegate accounting responsibilities to the finance team.
  • Prepare reports for the CFO and senior management.
  • Contribute to team initiatives by completing related tasks as necessary.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
  • Encourage direct reports to achieve personal, team, and organizational objectives.
  • Set clear performance expectations and provide constructive feedback to support staff development.
  • Identify training needs for team members and develop learning plans with specific goals and timelines.

Client Engagement:
  • Play a crucial role in nurturing and enhancing client relationships through effective communication and exceptional service delivery.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (CPA preferred).
  • 5-7 years of experience managing complex financial operations with increasing responsibilities.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, organizational abilities, and sound judgment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and policies, including accruals and revenue recognition.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting on key financial metrics.
  • Proven experience managing staff at various levels and interacting with all levels of management.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel is required.
  • This position is based in a hybrid work environment with occasional office attendance expected.
