Job Summary:

As a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality anesthesia care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures. Under the medical supervision of an anesthesiologist, you will administer general and regional anesthesia, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients across all age groups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough pre-operative evaluations, including patient interviews and chart reviews, to determine the most suitable anesthesia plan.
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists to select anesthetic agents and develop individualized anesthesia plans.
  • Monitor patients' responses to anesthesia and take necessary actions to maintain stability.
  • Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Maintain accurate records of controlled substances and equipment, adhering to departmental guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in anesthesia care.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program.
  • Current California RN license and CRNA certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
  • Experience in anesthesia care for complex procedures, including extensive monitoring and fluid management.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Additional skills in charting, documentation, and equipment management.
  • Experience in precepting student nurse anesthetists.
