Packaging and Labeling Technician

The Packaging and Labeling Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of vaccine packaging. This position involves operating packaging equipment, inspecting products, and collaborating with other functional groups to achieve production goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate packaging equipment, including labelers, pick and place, heat tunnel, and vision systems.
  • Accurately inspect products to maintain quality standards.
  • Perform equipment change-over and setup as required.
  • Troubleshoot initial issues with packaging equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP documentation and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Read, understand, and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Prepare Quality Assurance line clearances for small volume lines.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Maintain facilities and equipment as required by Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Cross-train in other areas within the department as necessary.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required; Associate's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 2 to 3 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Detail-oriented with effective communication skills and a quality-conscious mindset.
  • Equipment/process troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Basic math and computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of related experience in packaging and labeling.
