Job Title: Packaging and Labeling Technician

Location: Athens, GA

Shift: 1st Shift (Mon-Fri, 6:30am - 3pm) – Weekends as required

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Packaging and Labeling Technician to support the labeling, inspection, and packaging of vaccines. This role is essential in ensuring efficient operations and maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate packaging equipment such as labelers, pick and place systems, heat tunnels, vision systems, and forklifts.
  • Inspect products accurately and efficiently to meet quality guidelines.
  • Perform equipment changeovers and set-up processes.
  • Troubleshoot packaging equipment issues (e.g., labelers, pick and place systems).
  • Ensure cGMP documentation is completed thoroughly and in compliance with procedures.
  • Prepare for QA Line clearances and maintain clean and organized workspaces.
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
  • Participate in cross-training within the department to meet production goals.
  • Communicate production progress, equipment needs, and process issues to supervisors and team members in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to daily team performance reviews and maintain accurate records of materials consumed during production.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a packaging or labeling role.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent communication and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and perform basic math and computer tasks.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience.
