Position Overview:

As a Level 4 Customer Service Associate within the SBO team at MaineHealth, you will represent our brand with warmth, professionalism, and expertise. This hybrid position combines the advantages of remote work with essential in-office collaboration. Utilize your knowledge in medical billing and revenue cycle management to positively influence patients, guarantors, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Mentorship: Provide training and support to Level 1-3 associates, offering expert advice through various communication channels.
- Issue Resolution: Address complex financial inquiries, manage escalated concerns, and work collaboratively with teams to ensure effective solutions.
- Project Management: Oversee special initiatives, manage workload allocation, and provide coverage for team members as necessary.
- Quality Assurance and Development: Evaluate service quality, coach team members, and continuously enhance your understanding of EPIC and industry standards.
Essential Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma or GED/HiSET preferred.
- Certifications: Proficiencies in EPIC SBO Customer Service and SelfPay Follow Up (to be completed within nine months of hire). HFMA Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) or higher (to be completed within one year of hire). SBO Trainers must achieve MH RCM STEP Credentialed Trainer designation within three months of hire.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a related Healthcare Patient Accounting role and 3 years in a healthcare call center. Previous leadership or training experience is advantageous. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and apply Emotional Intelligence in addressing staff concerns.
