Job Description

We are seeking skilled professionals to join our team as Wiring Specialists for a top lead switchgear and electrical products manufacturing company located in the St. Charles, IL area. This is a temp to hire opportunity, requiring a detailed resume. Candidates must have prior wiring or electrical assembly experience to successfully wire panel boards related to low and medium voltage switchgear for the manufacture of products to satisfy customer orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical controls panel and Buss wiring
  • Follow wiring diagrams and electrical schematics
  • Install pre-wired panel into control box
  • Terminate wiring based on schematics
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot
  • Point to point wiring
  • Read, and understand blueprints, schematic drawings to determine wiring layout
  • Inspect parts to find defects and ensure quality
  • Ensure proper protective equipment is worn at all times and tools or other equipment is used based on the task

Requirements:

  • Must have knowledge of electrical symbols and schematics
  • Must be able to understand blueprints & drawings
  • Must be able to use shop equipment and hand tools
  • Perform basic math functions including an understanding of fractions and decimals
  • Perform basic computer skills
  • Must be a team player and have good attendance
  • Must take direction, follow instruction and work with others with a positive attitude
  • Operate power tools and hand tools to fabricate and assemble products
  • Work on an assembly line to meet production goals
  • Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with machinery
  • Transport materials using forklifts within the warehouse
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a factory or manufacturing setting
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with assembly line processes
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
  • Experience operating forklifts
