Role Summary:
The Construction Site Manager will lead and supervise the on-site team, ensuring all operations adhere to quality standards, safety regulations, and company policies. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Promote and model safety as a fundamental principle
  • Ensure proper housekeeping practices on the project site
  • Collaborate with Pre-Construction and Project Management teams to implement contract deliverables and quality testing
  • Conduct thorough reviews of project documents to anticipate and address potential issues
  • Communicate material delivery needs to prioritize and expedite processes
  • Facilitate effective subcontractor coordination meetings and resolve arising issues
  • Prepare daily reports, progress updates, and compliance documentation
  • Assist in the development and updating of the overall project schedule
  • Proactively identify challenges and implement timely solutions to maintain workflow
  • Plan and establish the sequence of work activities on the project
  • Manage inspections by various agencies, including consultants and local authorities
  • Ensure all installed materials meet specifications and submittals
  • Drive project closeout and owner turnover processes
  • Adhere to and teach company policies and processes to new team members
  • Prioritize mentoring and training for team members

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A degree in Building Science, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering is preferred, but relevant experience may be considered.
  • A minimum of ten years of related construction experience and/or training is required.
  • Experience in Commercial or Multi-Family Construction is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Ability to work outdoors on construction sites in various weather conditions
  • Capable of performing physical activities associated with construction, including standing, crawling, climbing, balancing, stooping, and kneeling
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required include distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and occasional work in high or precarious places
  • Ability to recognize and respond to potential hazards to ensure workforce safety

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Travel may be necessary for this position.
