Key Responsibilities
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments in a safe and organized manner, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Sunrise Senior Living policies.
  • Resident Care: Provide high-quality care to residents, including conducting Service and Health Updates, participating in the development of Individualized Service Plans (ISPs), and transcribing orders.
  • Risk Management and General Safety: Partner with the community team to ensure compliance with OSHA and British Columbia Workers Compensation Act requirements, promoting Risk Management programs and policies, and adhering to safety rules and regulations.
Requirements
  • LPN, LVN, or state/province specific licensed nurse credential.
  • Maintain certifications and ongoing training and re-education as required by Sunrise and state/provincial regulations.
  • Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
  • Ability to make choices and decisions and act in the residents best interest.
  • Ability to react and remain calm in difficult situations.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and level of understanding.
  • Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills.
