About Us

T. Marzetti Company, a leading manufacturer and marketer of specialty food products, is seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team.

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a key role in maintaining the quality of our incoming ingredients, in-line product, and finished product.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and monitor samples of ingredients, products, or packages according to established procedures
  • Ensure processes are operating consistently and make recommendations for improvement
  • Document results neatly and precisely, and communicate non-compliant results to management
  • Monitor plant compliance to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Recommend methods to reduce waste, improve productivity, quality, and consistency
  • Accurately weigh colors, flavors, and other small ingredients
  • Test R&D samples for Food Safety and specification development

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a science-related field preferred
  • Basic science skills, math, accurate data collection, general lab, and computer data entry
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and make observations
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to a team environment
  • Previous quality assurance experience preferred

Working Conditions/Environment

The Quality Assurance Specialist will work in a manufacturing environment where regular standing, lifting, reaching, and bending are required.

Earplugs, hairnets, and steel-toed shoes are required per company and plant GMP and Safety requirements.
