Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Vehicle Service Person to join our team at JCSI in Harrisburg, PA. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and readiness of our vehicles for our passengers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety policies and regulations, utilizing hand and power tools safely, wearing personal protective equipment, and completing required safety training.
  • Vehicle Transport: Safely drive vehicles to designated areas for cleaning, park vehicles according to supervisory parameters, and transport vehicles off-site as necessary for pick-up or emergencies.
  • Vehicle Inspection: Inspect vehicles before and after use, log inspections, report any issues, and compare vehicle defect cards with reports to check for damage. Alert supervisors about any significant damage.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure vehicles are functional and ready for service by fueling, checking fluids, and reporting any damages.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure vehicles are ready for service by completing all checklist procedures, cleaning the interior and exterior, posting and removing notices, and checking brochure racks.
  • Supply Conservation: Utilize and maintain equipment and supplies as needed, monitor cleaning supplies, check inventory, and request needed supplies.
  • Financial Security: Adhere to internal controls for fare boxes, check and fill fare media.
  • Information Provision: Respond to inquiries and requests from managers and supervisors about vehicle status.
  • Documentation: Complete all required paperwork and logs.
  • Emergency Response: Drive transit vehicles to backup operators or dispatchers in emergency situations.
Required Qualifications
  • Six months of driving experience preferred
  • Experience servicing vehicles or trucks is a plus
  • Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations is a plus
  • Ability to use and operate computer database applications
  • Ability to complete record-keeping and written reports
  • Must meet hiring qualifications, including being at least 18 years old, having an acceptable driving record, and passing background verification according to Authority standards
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
Location and Shift

Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

3:30 PM to Midnight

Compensation

$20.52 per hour at the time of hire; $21.66 per hour after 90 days
