Digital Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Imaging Specialist to join our team at St. Marys Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. As a key member of our Breast Care Center, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Verify patient identities and ensure accuracy of records transferred to/from outside facilities.
- Verify and track orders, including matching images with orders, placing images in proper order, reporting disbursement, and preparing call reports.
- Assist patients as needed and maintain knowledge of anatomy and exam types.
- Maintain knowledge of HIPAA regulations and apply this knowledge appropriately.
- Demonstrate professionalism in interactions with nursing staff, patients, and other patient care members and coworkers.
- Assist coworkers in completing their duties to promote effective teamwork.
- Take the initiative to solve problems, including equipment, maintenance, and staffing issues.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in a comparable setting required.
Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors require the ability to verbally communicate, hear, and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately. The role also requires manual dexterity to manipulate complex and delicate equipment, frequent computer use, and typing for documenting patient care.
Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients, bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment, and navigate crowded and busy rooms. May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
