Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Imaging Specialist to join our team at Intermountain Healthcare. As an MRI Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality MRI examinations under the direction of a physician to assist in the medical diagnosis or treatment of injury.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.
  • Possess thorough knowledge and understanding of the principles and physics of magnetic resonance imaging.
  • Select appropriate imaging techniques and protocols to complete the exam.
  • Receive patients, explain the method of examination, and position the patient, perform IV puncture, and administer IV contrast agent when indicated.
  • Independently perform and complete routine examinations.
  • Meet the needs of the patient, family, and multi-disciplinary team through effective communication, coordination, and documentation ensuring safety, care, courtesy, and efficiency.
  • Actively participate in quality initiatives to ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction, highest level of patient care, and workflow efficiencies.
Qualifications
  • Associate Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or one year minimum related experience and/or training, required.
  • Current ARRT (R) (MR) or NMTCB registry, required.
  • Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association, required.
  • Ability to interact with people of all ages, required.
  • At least one (1) year of experience as a MRI Imaging Specialist, preferred.
